Winans recording reunion kicks off with Obama track (17.11.08)
One of Gospel’s most recognised singers, BeBe and CeCe Winans, have recorded a special post-Obama election single with Country music superstars Vince Gill and Wynonna Judd.
The song “Right Now (We Need One Another)” was aired for the first time on a special post-election episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show in the US. The single’s theme, which is exclusively available on iTunes, aims to promote a feeling of unity across social, ethnic and economical boundaries as the world’s super power embraces its new president and a new era in history.
America's sibling duo BeBe and CeCe are largely seen as one of the first key crossover artists to gain success both in mainstream and Gospel arenas with hits like “It’s Okay”, “Heaven” and “I’ll Take You There”. Their much-talked about comeback as a brother/sister act sees them release a new album, as yet untitled, in 2009 after more than a decade since they last recorded together.
