T.D. Jakes releases Christmas CD (03.11.08)

America’s famed Bishop T.D. Jakes has joined forces with some of the hottest songsters from the gospel and R&B world for a special Christmas CD.

The Gift Remains offers a mixed bag of seasonal favourites and contemporary tracks from the likes of Brian McKnight in The First Noel; Debbie Winans’ Grown Up Christmas List; and gospel duo Mary Mary’s The Gift of Love. Bebe Winans, Kirk Whalum, CeCe Winans and Patti LaBelle also make an appearance on the album.

In between songs, Bishop Jakes offers inspiring Christmas messages of hope and faith.

A Coko Christmas

Coko (Cheryl Clemons), former singer from R&B group SWV, sticks to her Gospel roots by revisiting SWV-linked Christmas tunes. “Oh Holy Night,” “This Christmas,” and “The Christmas Song from their 1997 release of A Special Christmas. Guest artists on the album include like American Idol’s George Huff.

This Christmas, Aretha

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, is offering avid music lovers a Christmas album dishing up a selection of classic and contemporary tracks. Her usual trademark gospel, soul, R&B and classical styles. With tracks "This Christmas’, ‘The Lord Will Make A Way’ and ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’.
 

And there was Christmas…

Leading names in Gospel music club together in a selection of joyfully compilation that celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Kirk Franklin in ‘Silent Night’ and Donnie McClurkin’s ‘Hark The Herald Angels Sing’ are two tracks on the list.
