Appeal made from pulpit about Hudson's nephew kidnap (27.10.08)
Jennifer Hudson’s sister has made a public appeal from the church pulpit to find her missing son.
Julia Hudson made the appeal for her son Julian King, aged seven, from the podium at Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church alongside the boy's father, Greg King.
The appeal follows the killing of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother - Darnell Donnerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29 - who were shot dead in their family home in Chicago, (US). Since then Julian has been reported missing.
Jennifer Hudson, a professing Christian, rose to fame in the US as a contestant on American Idol.
Last year she won the best supporting actress Oscar for her role in 'Dreamgirls'.
Hudson has a hit song in the charts with her single 'Spotlight' and recently appeared on the cover of October’s Christian women’s magazine, ‘Precious Times’.
