Arts Council backs UK Gospel Grand Summit (21.08.08)

This year’s Gospel Grand Summit has received a cash injection from the Arts Council West Midlands to stage the one-day conference.

The invitation-only event, hosted by GreenTree, will take place on Friday 14 November in Birmingham (UK).

Themed as Gospel Grand Summit Professional GGS2008: Cultural Leadership and Influencing Change, the event will look at ways to create an action plan to sustain Gospel music in the UK by taking a serious and professional approach. Workshops and seminars throughout the day are designed for those who recognise their responsibility and need of leadership in the Gospel industry.

GGS founder and industry developer, Juliet Fletcher says “Under God we are coming together to take up the challenge of being the arbitrators of our own future and the writers of our own history for which we have both a responsibility and accountability. Let me emphasis. This is NOT just another Gospel Grand Summit."

Confirmed speakers include Keith Khan, Artistic Director for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad; Nigel Gaynor Executive Director of Creative Industries for the Learning Skills Council; Mike Mulvey, Chief Executive London 2012 Business Network and business development strategist Audrey Stevens from Manna Consultancy.

If you, or someone you know, have a serious outlook and professional approach to involvement in UK Gospel, and would like to be considered to attend, please call 07984 456 952 or email: info@greentree-uk.com

*Summit registration is required. Entry is free of charge. Lunch and refreshments provided.
