Band With No Name wins award for website (29.09.08)

The UK group, Band with No Name, picked up a top award for having the best Christian music website of the year.

The winning title was announced at the 2008 Christian Blog and Web Awards held in London.

The group joined a selection of other winners chosen from 12 categories, which included best Church website, which went to Kingdom Faith Church in Horsham; Best Christian News and reviews which went to Christianity Today; and the People’s Choice Award going to the Saffon Planet website.

Author and speaker, Jeff Lucas, opened the second annual Awards on 19 September alongside his co-host, Premier Radio presenter, Maria Toth.

The pair were joined by The Bishop of London, the Rt Rev Richard John Carew Chartres and a number of Christian celebrities to pay tribute to another collection of talented Christian web developers and bloggers.

The awards ceremony was created by Premier Christian Media.
