Troubled Wall Street workers turn to God (29.09.08)
Financial workers from New York’s famous Wall Street are turning to religion since the credit crunch, according to reports by Reuters news agency.
“There has definitely been an increase in the number of people who have come in to church," explained Reverend Mark Bozzuti-Jones of Trinity Church Wall Street.
“Wall Street would benefit if people applied the same morals they learned in church to the workplace," he added.
Reverend Jones felt that workers were exhausted by the turmoil they face on a day-to-day basis.
"The economic financial crisis is a reminder that we cannot put our faith in riches, that we cannot put our faith in money,” Jones went on to say.
