The multi-award winning artist will play the troubled character James 'Thunder' Early.

This is will be Tonex's first role on stage in his hometown of San Diego.

He is also set to release a new album called 'Bapostogic', which promises to keep the trademark sound of ‘Gospop’.

'Dreamgirls',  based on the smash hit film with the same name, started its run last week in the Lyceum Theatre in San Diego, US. The musical's director is Ron Kellum, whose work has included  'Chicago', and 'Smokey Joe’s Café.
