Behind the scenes with Lecrae & GL Live showcase April 2008  April saw US Gospel rapper, Lecrae, in the UK to perform at GL Live V2.0. UB1's Maya Simeon got the chance to chill with the rap star behind the scenes. The excited response was further heightened by the US rapper on the front cover of Gospel Link magazine.   As soon as Lecrae arrived in the UK, he hit the ground running with an extensive tour ranging from speaking engagements at youth events to CD singings and media interviews.   The concerts in London and Birmingham were packed with hundreds flocking to see the crème de la crème of international Gospel Hip-Hop. The events' supporting cast were New Direction Crew, JayEss, Triple 0, Sammy G, and Tryumf with surprise PAs from Jahaziel, Guvna B and Once (G Force). Then came the moment for the main act - the award-winning artist Lecrae. Performing an array of hits - including ‘After The Music Stops’, ‘Fanatic’, ‘Send Me’, ‘The King’ and ‘Jesus Music’ - he set the place ablaze.  As an  integral part of the Holy Hip Hop Movement, Lecrae also communicated lyrical theology at its finest.   He took the time to speak to the crowd, addressing the issues of life while presenting relatable and relevant words of wisdom, which he delivered with both depth and charisma. GL Live v2.0 was a great night, undoubtedly a phenomenal event further creating a positive impact...and the story continues.
